Support Services - Adopted Persons
As many people in the adoption community know, our mantra
is "Adoption is
a lifelong process." Over time, some adoptees may want to talk with someone
who understands their feelings and thoughts about adoption as well as confront
the decision around search and reunion with their birth family. When an individual
chooses to search for birth family members (or chooses not to search), it
is likely they will experience a continuum of emotions, ranging anywhere from
fear
and anxiety to joy and excitement, or both. C.A.S.E. offers counseling for
adults who want to explore these feelings and experiences with our adoption
specialists.
C.A.S.E. also offers forums throughout the year for adopted adults
to share
their experiences, explore thoughts and feelings, and build a network of
peers.
