Kids’ Adoption Network Carnival Celebrates National Adoption Month!
Does your family have a time to celebrate being an adoptive family? Some families find ways to celebrate in the month of November, which is National Adoption Month in the United States.

At C.A.S.E., November is the time for The Kids’ Adoption Network Carnival. At the Carnival, 90 children in grades 1 — 7 begin their day with entertainment. We have a play, music, or drama which sets the theme for our day together. After the opening program, kids go with their teams to several workshops which focus on a few of the common challenges they face as adoptees. We use art, drama, and games to find ways of handling some of these challenges. It is a fun time when we can learn from each other!

While the kids are busy with their teams, parents are meeting in workshops, too!

At the end of the day, kids share their experiences with their parents, and in turn, their parents tell them what they have learned. Finally, everyone takes time to play games and win some prizes at the carnival!
